Equinix in Slough, UK seeks a highly skilled Critical Facilities Specialist to join our UK Operations team. You’ll maintain and optimise data‑centre cooling infrastructure, blend hands‑on mechanical work with high‑level stakeholder engagement, and drive reliability and continuous improvement across our most critical site.

The role requires deep mechanical expertise in CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers, and liquid cooling, with experience in uptime‑critical environments.

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical engineering within a critical infrastructure environment.
• Experience with complex cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers, liquid cooling).
• Experience supporting uptime‑critical environments with strict SLA requirements.
• Solid understanding of root cause analysis methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CRAC/CRAH units and cooling plant.
• Manage cooling infrastructure across site and support incident response.
• Collaborate with electrical, operations and project teams to deliver projects.
• Contribute to RCA and continuous improvement actions.
