Job summary

Equinix in Slough is seeking a Senior Data Center Infrastructure Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) to maintain and improve critical infrastructure, including electrical distribution, cooling equipment, pumps, generators, fire protection, and building services.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, monitor systems, troubleshoot faults, work with contractors, review permits, and help manage inventory in a hands-on, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineering background required.
• Experience with building services or infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Monitor building systems and respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs safely and effectively.
• Support operation of power, cooling, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Complete inspections, maintenance checks and equipment testing.
• Identify risks and suggest improvements.
