Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking four permanent Staff Nurses (Band 5) to join the Critical Care team at University Hospital Crosshouse, near Kilmarnock. You will work 36 hours per week across shifts and must have current NMC registration and acute clinical experience.

Opportunities include completing the National Critical Care Competencies, ALS certification, and progression within the specialty. Driving licence is essential for this role; sponsorship is not offered for bank contracts.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is required for practice in the UK.
• Experience in critical care or a higher care environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients requiring Level 2 and Level 3 care in a busy Critical Care unit.
• Develop skills by completing National Critical Care Competencies and ALS certification where applicable.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Maintain current NMC registration and update clinical practice as required.
