Job summary

Two 12‑month Band 5 staff nurse secondments with the Intensive Care team at Frimley Park Hospital, part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves assessing, planning and evaluating patient care in a 12-bed unit that accepts Level 2 high dependency and Level 3 ICU patients, alongside senior clinical staff.

Shifts operate on a rota including short and long days and nights, supported by the unit's practice development team.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration is mandatory.
• Six months' post-registration acute hospital experience required.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with senior staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records to Trust and NMC standards.
• Deliver evidence-based care and participate in ongoing evaluation.
• Escalate concerns to the Team Leader as appropriate.
• Support infection prevention and health & wellbeing initiatives.
• Develop a professional portfolio and PDP.
