Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Critical Care team as an NHS AfC: Band 5 nurse. The role requires flexible working across full-time, part-time and rotational shifts, with a 37.5 hour week and a maternity cover fixed term contract.

You will deliver gold standard care to critically ill patients, lead by example, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team while committing to professional development and current best practice within a supportive

• 1st Level live NMC registered Nurse.
• Evidence of qualification to supervise, teach and assess students.
• PP126/7
• D32/33

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic nursing care for critically ill patients.
• Coordinate nursing services in ward/dept.
• Provide handovers to nursing colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage up to 30 patients on the ward and ensure care plans are followed.
• Role model compassionate leadership and foster teamwork across departments.
