Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting Staff Nurses to join our Critical Care team. This role rotates through the Critical Care Unit and HDU, caring for Level 2 and 3 patients and developing transferable skills across a range of clinical presentations.

New starters receive a comprehensive induction and support to complete National STEPs Critical Care Competencies, with regular study days in a high-fidelity simulation suite to ensure excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of individualized patient care while protecting privacy and dignity.
• Assess nursing care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and uphold high standards of ward cleanliness.
• Rotate between Critical Care Unit and High Dependency Unit to gain care for Level 2 and 3 patients.
