Job overview
There is an exciting internal opportunity for a Band 6 Critical Care Nurse with a relevant post specialist course and significant clinical experience caring for level 2 and level 3 patients to join the Critical Care Outreach Team at The Royal London Hospital for an initial nine month secondment. We are advertising for two secondment periods, for two individuals as follows:
August 2025 – May 2026 – placement 1
May 2026 – February 2027 – placement 2
At the end of the secondment periods, the two nurses will take up a band 6 rotational post working between ACCU and CCOT.
Whilst on secondment, the successful candidate will develop their clinical assessment skills and will achieve the foundation level skill set in Critical Care Outreach nursing, whilst maintaining the ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider multi-professional team.
There are also opportunities to participate in teaching, audit, quality improvement and service development.
