Job summary

BHRUT in Romford is seeking a Band 6 Specialized Dietitian to join the Critical Care team. You will provide highly specialist nutritional assessment and care planning for critically ill patients, with exposure to complex nutrition support and GI surgery.

The post requires HCPC registration, a nutrition and dietetics degree, and post-qualification critical care training. You will work autonomously within the MDT, contribute to audits and education, and support service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Evidence of recent significant experience in complex nutrition support and parenteral nutrition.
• Experience in audit and research.
• Post registration clinical course in critical care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist, evidence-based nutritional assessment, monitoring and support for patients in Critical Care.
• Manage a caseload within Critical Care with autonomy.
• Contribute to teaching programmes and education strategies for health care professionals in the Critical Care MDT.
• Participate in audits, research, and development of evidence-based guidelines.
