Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service UPS and critical power systems across London, the South East and Oxford. You will diagnose faults, commission equipment, and carry out preventative maintenance in a customer-facing role.

You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in electrical discipline, preferably UPS/critical power experience, and hold a full UK driving licence. A company car and on-call rota are included.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical discipline is essential.
• Experience with UPS or critical power is preferred.
• Customer-facing field service experience required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Willing to cover London, the South East and Oxford area.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and commission UPS and power protection equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Complete battery replacements and fault finding.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Complete service reports and documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rota.

Field Service Engineer - UPS / Critical Power

Location: London, South East and Oxford

Ideal location: Borehamwood or surrounding areas

Salary: Circa £45,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established global manufacturer of critical power and energy resilience solutions.

The role:

• Service, repair and commission UPS and power protection equipment
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance
• Complete battery replacements and electrical fault-finding
• Provide technical support to customers
• Complete service reports and associated documentation
• Participate in the on-call rota

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 or higher in an electrical discipline is essential
• Previous UPS or critical power experience preferred
• Strong electrical or electronic engineering experience
• Customer-facing field service experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to cover London, the South East and up to Oxford

Package:

• Circa £45,000 basic salary
• Annual bonus of approximately £2,250
• Around £2,000 per year for participating in the on-call rota
• Company car, typically a BMW 3 Series or similar
• Food and hotel expenses paid in full where applicable
