We are excited to advertise a new role within the Croydon A&L service, which involves working in conjunction with the Croydon Health & Wellbeing Space to support Service Users in the community.
The Croydon Assessment & Liaison (A&L) Service comprises three teams: North, South, and Central. We provide advice on the best treatment and care options for people aged 18-65 living in the London Borough of Croydon who have moderate to severe mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, or personality disorder. We work closely with the Croydon Health & Wellbeing Space, GPs, patients, and carers.
The Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space (CHWS) is a drop-in service located in the Whitgift Centre, Croydon. It is open six days a week from 9 am to 5 pm, with drop-in times from 10 am to 1 pm and support appointments outside these hours. The post holder will assist with the assessment and delivery of psychological interventions for individuals and groups, including triage of new referrals, signposting to other talking therapies, or providing support through group and individual psychological interventions supervised by a qualified clinical psychologist. The role operates on weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm.
The post involves working across the Croydon A&L team (3 days a week) and the CHWS (2 days a week), providing psychoeducation, crisis management, carers support, and emotional support. Responsibilities include co-facilitating groups at CHWS and managing a small caseload of patients in Croydon A&L.
