Job summary

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust invites experienced mental health professionals to support crisis care in the Staying Well service. You will conduct crisis assessments, provide psycho-social interventions, and work within a trusted team to ensure safe, person-centred care for adults in crisis.

Shifts run 14:00–01:00 with enhanced rates for evenings and weekends. A Golden Hello incentive for band 6 Nurses/Practitioners and relocation options may apply under terms and conditions.

Qualifications

• Registered professional with current registration appropriate to the job role.
• Degree/diploma level with specialist qualification relevant to the care group.
• Evidence of post-registration training in relevant service area.
• Extensive post-qualifying experience in the relevant service area.
• Experience supervising staff and students.
• Knowledge of interventions specific to the service area.
• Awareness of Trust policies and service specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with staff, patients, families and professionals.
• Ability to link with other services and professionals.
• Ability to manage risk effectively.
• Participate in service development.
• Lead clinical discussions in the team.
• Use Trust IT systems to enter patient information and notes.

Responsibilities

• Support Recovery Workers delivering person-centred care in a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Carry out crisis assessments and signpost away from A&E where appropriate.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Lead clinical discussions and contribute to service development.
