Job summary

The Crisis Management Specialist at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is a senior role within the Operations Division’s Cyber & Operational Resilience function. The position focuses on translating incidents and industry best practices into effective crisis management content, learning, and remediation actions.

It strengthens the FCA’s ability to anticipate, respond to and recover from disruptive events across offices in London, Edinburgh and Leeds.

Qualifications

• Minimum: In-depth knowledge of crisis management principles, frameworks and best practice.
• Essential: Deep understanding of regulatory roles and crisis management training design.

Responsibilities

• Translate findings from incidents, exercises, public inquiries and industry best practices into updated exercise objectives and remediation tracking.
• Design and update crisis management capability frameworks and training solutions.
• Sponsor and facilitate crisis management programmes, workshops and awareness sessions.
• Evaluate learner feedback and performance data to measure training effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Crisis Management, Operational Resilience and Organisational Capability teams to ensure coordinated resilience efforts.
