Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy at diploma or degree level.
• Post-qualification learning and development evidenced.
• Relevant post-registration experience in adult mental health.
• Experience of multi-disciplinary working.
• Experience of working in acute mental health care.
• Competency in completing comprehensive mental health assessments and risk assessments.
• Understanding of MHA, MCA, CPA, and safeguarding.
• Experience of working in a community-based mental health team.

Responsibilities

• Devolved management, leadership and development role.
• Ensuring and supporting the effective delivery of clinical practice by the CRHT team.
• Provide mental health assessments within a variety of settings.
• Triage referrals coming into the service.
• Working collaboratively with other statutory, non-statutory and voluntary teams and organisations.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in mental illness/health.
• Use interpersonal skills to diffuse potentially emotive situations while undertaking assessments and pathway planning within acute settings.
• Work to a rota shift system covering 24 hours, 7 days a week.
• Travel is expected as an essential part of the role.
