ENL Legal Recruitment seeks a Criminal Solicitor (Duty Solicitor) in Coventry with 2+ years PQE. You will manage your own caseload, progress cases efficiently, and provide clear advice to clients.

The role offers the chance to work closely with the Head of Department on complex matters and to develop your criminal law expertise. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, with strong case management, excellent communication, and good IT skills.

Criminal Solicitor (Duty Solicitor), 2+ Years PQE, Coventry, £50,000+ (DOE) - Are you a motivated Criminal Solicitor looking for an opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload, develop your expertise and make a real difference to clients? JOB REF:5689.

THE ROLE:

• This is an excellent opportunity to join a team where professionalism, client care and a supportive approach are at the heart of everything they do.
• You will manage your own caseload of criminal matters, taking responsibility for progressing cases efficiently and providing clear, practical advice to clients throughout the process.
• Working closely with the Head of Department, you will also have the opportunity to assist with more complex matters, broaden your experience and continue developing your skills as a criminal practitioner.
• Your responsibilities will include managing competing deadlines, maintaining accurate case records, communicating effectively with clients and colleagues, and ensuring every matter receives the care and attention it deserves.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Ideally suited to a solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE, but any applications from newly qualified solicitors who are keen to build their career in criminal law would be welcomed.
• Higher Rights of Audience would be desirable
• We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and committed to delivering an excellent standard of legal service.
• You will have strong case management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A confident and professional approach to working with clients.
• Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date case files.
• Patience, empathy and a polite, approachable manner.
