Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker for a 3-month temporary assignment in Worthing. You will support adults in the criminal justice system with substance misuse needs to help their recovery and reduce reoffending.

The role involves managing a caseload, completing assessments, delivering interventions, and working with Probation, Courts, Police or HMP services. Experience in recovery and criminal justice is essential; housing, employment and health needs support is

Qualifications

Direct substance misuse / recovery experience.
Experience working with criminal justice clients.
Caseload management and assessment experience.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Experience with Probation, Courts, Police or HMP services is desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of criminal justice service users.
Complete assessments and individual recovery plans.
Deliver substance misuse, harm reduction and recovery interventions.
Support individuals subject to DRRs, licence conditions and out-of-court disposals.
Carry out assertive outreach to engage harder-to-reach service users.
Work closely with Probation, HMP services and other partner agencies.
Attend multi-agency meetings and complete professional reports and case notes.
Support wider needs including housing, employment, health and social wellbeing.
