A leading NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Liaison and Diversion Practitioner to join their dynamic team. The role involves working in police custody and courts, providing essential support to service users. The developing Hertfordshire Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Team (CJLDT) is looking to recruit a Band 6 Liaison and Diversion Practitioner. This is a new post.
The service operates mainly at Hatfield and Stevenage Police Stations and covers Hertfordshire in police custody, Magistrates’ Courts, and Crown Court. You will be expected to work across all bases and with Voluntary Attendees.
The working hours are from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, on a rota that includes some 11-hour shifts, subject to negotiation and service demands.
Applicants should have knowledge and/or experience working with one or more of the following groups: NHS, Local Authority, CAMHS, or services such as alcohol and substance misuse. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, persevering, inquisitive, with excellent risk assessment and report writing skills, and able to establish rapport quickly with service users and carers.
Appointment is subject to successful Police vetting.
