Job summary

DWF is seeking a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join the sub-team, based in Bristol or Manchester. The role covers a national team with expertise in criminal investigations, prosecutions and inquests across sectors.

You will work within the Criminal Defence Team to handle high-profile cases and contribute to business development. Applicants from 1–4 years PQE with a background in criminal defence/regulatory work, including HSE prosecutions, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years PQE in criminal defence/regulatory work, including HSE prosecutions.
• Strong academic performance.
• Ability to work in a wider Commercial Insurance team and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit a high level of technical expertise and apply it commercially on large, complex cases.
• Achieve individual financial targets in line with the sales plan.
• Understand client requirements and manage cases per SLAs and best practices.
• Analyse risk and justify decisions to clients internally and externally.
• Prioritise work to maximise efficiency in practice.
