Job summary

KMA Legal Recruitment is seeking a Crime Solicitor for a national law firm's motor crime and regulatory team in the City of London. You will progress motor crime cases from investigation to conclusion, drafting statements and coordinating with insurers.

The role requires handling a busy caseload with minimal supervision, strong knowledge of criminal procedure and litigation, and willingness to travel as needed. Hybrid role with periodic court and client meetings.

Qualifications

Job description

Role

In this role you will be responsible for progressing motor crime cases from the initial investigation stage through to conclusion and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Analysing prosecution evidence and drafting statements
• Attending trials, hearings and inquests to take a full note for insurer clients in respect of civil liability claims
• Assisting in the preparation of trials/hearings when representing defendants.
• Drafting written submissions and reviewing evidence
• Carrying out legal research and liaising with police, Crown Prosecution Service and regulators
• Liaising with experts

There will be travel required as part of the role and you will not be expected to attend the office more than once or twice a week.

Candidate

You must have a strong knowledge of criminal law, including civil procedure and litigation processes.

You should have a proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
