Job summary

Kent County Cricket Club is seeking a club physiotherapist to support the Science and Medicine team across winter pathway work and during the summer across club cricket programmes, including Academy, Pathway, Second XI and First XI when appropriate. The role involves travel to fixtures and training venues and contributes to injury management and performance development.

Essential experience includes two years UK physiotherapy practice, HCPC and CSP registration, and a degree in physiotherapy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years working experience in the United Kingdom as a physiotherapist.
• HCPC and CSP registered.
• BSc Physiotherapy or MSc qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide confident and competent clinical assessment, diagnoses and treatment to all professional, academy and pathway players.
• Provide medical and physiotherapy cover to all training and match days (home and away).
• Communicate effectively with players, coaches and staff regarding injuries and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with Strength and Conditioning to deliver integrated rehabilitation/strength and conditioning programmes.
• Coordinate consultant intervention when necessary in liaison with senior staff.
• Conduct musculoskeletal screenings for players and provide a consolidated programme to maximise performance.
• Maintain written records on ECB Smartabase portal.
• Support England centrally contracted and developmental players.
• Engage in professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices.
• Support a high-performance culture within the club.
