Job summary

VWFS is seeking an undergraduate to join the Risk team as a Credit Risk Undergraduate in Milton Keynes. You will monitor and test credit risk strategies that protect against customer non-payment, working with reporting, data analysis and committee materials to understand how credit risk impacts the business and customer journey.

Join a placement that covers analytics, testing of new systems and real business outcomes, with a hybrid work pattern and a June/July start.

Qualifications

• Studying towards an undergraduate degree (Economics or Business preferred).
• Good Excel knowledge and willingness to learn other data reporting tools.
• Highly numerate with strong mathematical skills.
• Interested in Credit and Financial Risk.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Produce KPIs, executive summary reporting and performance reports for underwriting and committee audiences.
• Support business testing when new or enhanced Credit Risk strategies are implemented.
• Provide Risk support to strategic projects, mainly through testing of new systems and products.
• Carry out ad hoc reporting and analysis for the Credit Risk function and wider business.
• Support investigations into movements in the retail portfolio and monthly credit risk provision.
• Support development of credit scorecards and risk mitigation strategies through data extraction and interrogation.
• Produce minutes for the monthly Credit and Lending Risk Committee.

About The Role

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £23,915.49

Contract: 12-13months FTC Start dates are usually in June/July

Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

To apply for our undergraduate placement scheme, you must be studying for an undergraduate degree that requires a placement year. Master's students are not eligible for this placement.

Please consider before applying if you live more than 60 minutes away from post code MK15 8HG, that you would need to relocate to either Milton Keynes or be a commutable distance (within 60 minutes).

• Methodical and disciplined, with strong attention to detail.
