Job summary

SF Recruitment in Leicestershire is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join the Finance team on a hybrid basis. You will review financial data, assess creditworthiness and provide commercially balanced recommendations to protect exposures.

The role requires strong credit risk experience, excellent Excel skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while working with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Senior Credit Risk Analyst

Location: Leicestershire | Hybrid

SF Recruitment is working with an established and successful business to recruit a Senior Credit Risk Analyst into their Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Risk professional who enjoys getting into the detail of financials, assessing higher-value exposures and providing commercially balanced recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing financial statements, management accounts and wider financial information


• Assessing creditworthiness and identifying potential financial or trading risks


• Managing a portfolio of higher-value credit exposures


• Making recommendations around credit limits and risk


• Supporting annual and ad-hoc credit reviews


• Producing monthly credit risk reporting and MI


• Identifying trends, emerging risks and areas requiring action


• Engaging directly with customers/members and their Finance teams


• Supporting improvements across credit processes, controls and reporting

Requirements

• Strong Credit Risk, Credit Control or wider financial risk experience


• Confidence analysing financial statements and management accounts


• Strong commercial judgement and analytical skills


• Advanced Excel and confidence working with financial data


• The ability to communicate and influence senior stakeholders


• A proactive, organised and hands‑on approach

A CICM qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential where there is strong relevant experience.

This would suit someone looking for a more analytical, commercially focused Credit Risk position with genuine ownership and exposure to senior stakeholders
