Your new company
Our client is a highly-regarded international firm with offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a Credit Hire / Damages Team Manager to join their Birmingham office on a hybrid basis. You will oversee a team of credit hire fee earners alongside managing your own reduced caseload.
Your new role
This Credit Hire / Damages Team Manager role will involve direct line management of 5 individuals, including supervisors, junior supervisors, and lawyers, and overseeing a team of 25-30. You will conduct annual and interim performance reviews, manage team performance, progress against targets, and development opportunities. You will also handle your own reduced caseload of circa 25 fast and multi-track credit hire files and cover sickness/absence within the team. Additionally, you will cascade information, manage absences, and induct new supervisors.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should be qualified solicitors or chartered legal executives; those qualified by experience may also be considered. A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in credit hire and/or supervisory roles is required. You must be able to manage your own caseload of fast and multi-track credit hire files. Experience from claimant and defendant backgrounds is acceptable, with a preference for defendant experience. Supervisory and litigation experience are essential.
What you'll get in return
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced credit hire solicitors/lawyers with supervisory experience to further their careers at a well-established firm. The role offers a hybrid working structure of 2 days WFH and a competitive salary of up to £60,000 plus bonus, depending on experience.
