Job summary

Orka Financial is partnering with a Richmond-based business to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a fixed-term basis. You will manage customer credit limits, perform checks, and produce aged debtor reports to drive timely payments.

Key tasks include chasing overdue invoices, negotiating plans, and resolving invoice queries. Applicants should have proven credit control experience, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with Excel and accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in credit control and collections.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring customer credit limits and risk exposure.
• Conducting credit checks and setting up new customer accounts.
• Producing and reviewing aged debtor reports (30/60/90+ days).
• Proactively chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and written communication.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage timely payments.
• Negotiating payment plans and resolving outstanding balances.
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries or disputes efficiently.
