Job summary

Castle Employment in North Yorkshire is seeking a motivated Credit Controller to join a busy finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role manages ledgers, resolves overdue payments and supports colleagues while building strong relationships with customers.

You will need good numeracy, Excel skills, and a proactive approach. Full training is available for the right attitude, and the role is commutable from Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough, Ripon and North Leeds.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control or finance experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Excel with formulas and data analysis.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of workload.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own customer ledger and following up on overdue payments.
• Building strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
• Investigating and resolving account and payment queries efficiently.
• Accurately recording queries and ensuring they are followed through to resolution.
• Providing support and cover for other members of the finance team when required.
