Job summary

Search Consultancy is recruiting a Credit Controller for a well-established business in Glasgow. The role is on-site, focusing on managing customer accounts, collecting payments, and supporting the finance team to maintain financial health.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable, with strong Excel and Outlook skills, and possess a proactive, accurate, team‑oriented approach to work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Finance Administration.
• Confidence communicating with customers, particularly regarding outstanding payments.
• Professional, proactive and methodical approach to work.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Positive team player who builds effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage customer accounts and chase outstanding balances by telephone and email.
• Agree and monitor payment arrangements in line with company procedures.
• Accurately allocate customer payments and prepare Direct Debit collections.
• Carry out credit checks and assist with the approval and set-up of new customer accounts.
• Monitor credit limits, payment terms and overdue balances, identifying and escalating potential credit risks.
• Investigate and resolve account queries and payment discrepancies with customers and the Sales team.
• Provide general administrative support to the Credit Control and wider Finance team.
