TK Elevator GmbH in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Credit Controller to manage a portfolio of customer accounts and drive timely payments. You will combine strong communication with practical problem solving to resolve disputes and maintain excellent customer relationships.

Reporting to the Credit Control Supervisor, you’ll collaborate across finance and sales teams in a supportive environment. You will monitor credit limits, forecast cash flow, and contribute to month-end processes

We are looking for a personable, proactive Credit Controller to manage a portfolio of customer accounts, collect payments on time and resolve issues that delay payment. You will combine confident telephone communication with a practical approach to problem solving, maintaining good customer relationships while being clear about payment expectations.

Reporting to the Credit Control Supervisor, you will work with colleagues across finance and the wider business, with exposure to the Head of Accounting. You will join a relaxed, approachable team where people take ownership of their work and support one another.

You will:

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, prioritising collection activities to achieve cash collection targets.
• Contact customers regularly by phone and email to secure payment commitments and follow up on agreed payment dates.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships while confidently managing difficult conversations regarding overdue payments.
• Investigate and resolve invoice disputes and payment queries by working closely with operational, sales, and billing teams.
• Issue statements, reminders, copy invoices, and supporting documentation as required.
• Reconcile customer accounts, investigate deductions and short payments, and support accurate cash allocation.
• Monitor payment trends, credit limits, and potential credit risks, escalating concerns where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity, disputes, and customer communications.
• Support forecasting, month-end reporting, and aged debt reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes and ways of working.

We are looking for someone who combines strong communication skills with a practical and customer-focused approach.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a credit control, collections, accounts receivable, or finance administration role.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills, with confidence handling customer conversations regarding payment.
• A personable and professional approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to challenge issues constructively.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to investigate and reconcile account balances.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
• A collaborative approach, balanced with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
