• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
• Experience working within a professional services or legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
• A positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of outstanding debtors and proactively chasing payments via telephone and email.
• Building effective relationships with clients to secure payment and resolve outstanding balances.
• Working closely with fee earners to review and manage client debt positions.
• Identifying problem debts and escalating issues where appropriate.
• Monitoring payment plans and deferred payment arrangements.
• Handling incoming client queries relating to outstanding accounts.
• Processing card payments over the telephone.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring collection activities are up to date.
• Supporting the wider Finance team with ad hoc credit control duties as required.

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for an opportunity to join a highly regarded law firm on a fixed-term project?

Field Seymour Parkes is seeking a proactive and organised Credit Controller to join our Finance team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will play a key part in supporting the firm's cash flow objectives, building strong relationships with clients and fee earners, and ensuring outstanding debts are managed effectively and professionally.

What You'll Be Doing
