Illumina in Cambridge is hiring an Italian-speaking Credit Controller to join the Accounts Receivable team. The role is hands-on, requiring strong Italian language skills, experience in credit control, and familiarity with customer portals to manage accounts and collect balances.

The position operates in a hub-and-hybrid model, with one day per week in the Cambridge office on Thursdays. You will support the AR function, maintain accurate customer records, and collaborate with other departments

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control / accounts receivable, including collecting overdue balances
• Experience using customer portals within a credit control environment
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and tight timescales
• Experience with SAP would be advantageous

Responsabilités

• Support the Accounts Receivable function and ensure customer accounts are accurate and payments move smoothly
• Manage Channel Partner accounts, including reconciliation
• Collect outstanding balances and support payment within terms
• Monitor customer credit status, credit blocks and exposure
• Manage cash application and posting across EMEA accounts
• Use customer portals as part of day-to-day credit control and collection
• Issue statements, collection letters and dunning notices
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and disputes
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales and other teams to maintain customer experience
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Maintain accurate customer records and follow credit/collection processes
• Spend about 50% of time supporting testing for Next Gen ERP project

We’re looking for an experienced Italian-speaking Credit Controller to join our Accounts Receivable team in Cambridge. This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who knows credit control, enjoys building strong customer relationships and is confident working across customer portals to manage accounts, resolve issues and support timely payment.

The role is hub and hybrid, with the expectation of working from our Cambridge office one day per week, on Thursday , to collaborate with the onsite team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support the Accounts Receivable function, helping to keep customer accounts accurate, payments moving and queries resolved. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining Channel Partner accounts , including account reconciliation
• Collecting outstanding customer balances and supporting payment within agreed terms
• Monitoring customer credit status, credit blocks and credit exposure
• Managing cash application and payment posting across EMEA accounts
• Using customer portals as part of the day‑to‑day credit control and collection process
• Issuing customer statements, collection correspondence and dunning letters
• Investigating and resolving account queries, discrepancies and disputes
• Working directly with customers to resolve issues and facilitate payment
• Collaborating across Customer Service, Sales and other functions to maintain a positive customer experience
• Supporting internal and external audit requests
• Maintaining accurate customer account records and following established credit and collection processes

You’ll also spend approximately 50% of your working time supporting testing activities for our Next Gen ERP project , giving you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change alongside your core credit‑control responsibilities.

The estimated base salary range for the Credit Controller (Italian Speaking) role based in United Kingdom is GBP 30,600 - 45,800.The range reflects long‑term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This salary range applies to the primary posting location listed above. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range will be updated accordingly.
