Job summary

Astute Recruitment is working with a professional services business in Nottingham City Centre to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a 6–9 month fixed-term contract. The role is fully onsite in Nottingham City Centre, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with a salary of up to £30,000.

The successful candidate will manage outstanding payments, chase invoices, and support credit control processes within a busy team. Availability on short notice is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control or debt collection experience.
• Excellent communication and confidence speaking with customers over the telephone.
• Ability to work onsite in Nottingham City Centre, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Proactively chasing outstanding invoices and payments using a diary management system.
• Contacting individual and business clients to confirm invoices have been received.
• Issuing payment reminders by email and through the relevant online systems.
• Taking payments over the telephone.
• Liaising with internal colleagues to investigate and resolve account queries.
• Following up outstanding queries to ensure timely resolution.
• Using Microsoft Word and Excel to support day-to-day activities.
