Job summary

Vp plc is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our Finance Shared Service Centre in Harrogate. You will be responsible for managing customer ledgers, chasing overdue payments, and supporting the cash collection process to help protect working capital.

You will work closely with internal teams, develop effective customer relationships, and contribute to reports and analyses. The role offers full training and development within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Credit control experience preferred; full training provided.
• Proficient in Excel with formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong communication with a confident phone manner.
• Ambitious, eager to learn and develop.
• Good numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Own a designated customer ledger and follow up on overdue payments.
• Foster relationships to ensure efficient collections.
• Record queries promptly and accurately.
• Assist in generating customer reports and debt analysis.
• Contribute to credit limit assessments.
• Provide support to team members when required.
