Confidential in Wythenshawe, Manchester, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a 12-month fixed-term contract starting immediately. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, chase overdue payments, and contribute to healthy cash flow.

The role requires strong negotiation, excellent communication and Excel proficiency, with exposure to accounts receivable and reconciliations. On-site parking and a supportive team environment are on offer.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Chase overdue payments via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
• Reduce aged debt and improve cash collection performance.
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Produce aged debt reports and provide updates to management.
• Negotiate and monitor payment arrangements where required.
• Escalate high-risk accounts and support debt recovery processes.
• Assist with month-end reporting and other finance-related duties.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established business based in Wythenshawe on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and driven individual who enjoys building relationships, reducing aged debt, and playing a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow across the business.

Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will take ownership of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received on time while delivering excellent customer service and resolving any outstanding queries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Chasing overdue payments via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
• Reducing aged debt and improving cash collection performance.
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts.
• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.

About You

• Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume ledger and meet collection targets.
• Experience of account reconciliations and cash allocations.
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
• A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
