Overview

We're Hiring: Credit Controller – Sheffield, UK (Full-Time)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Credit Controller to join our team in Sheffield, UK. This full-time position offers a great opportunity to support our customer base and contribute to our financial success. You will work with a diverse range of customers, from small businesses to large enterprises, helping to build strong, lasting relationships.

Hybrid working: 4 days a week in our Sheffield city centre office.

Key Responsibilities

• Collection Management: Generate weekly aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email to reduce DSO and improve cash flow.
• Relationship Development: Build strong customer relationships, resolve invoice queries, and ensure timely payments.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with your Team Manager to review AR ledgers and escalate billing disputes.
• Analytical Investigation: Resolve discrepancies such as short-paid or overpaid invoices to maintain financial accuracy.
• Target Achievement: Meet monthly goals while maintaining high standards and supporting team dynamics.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with customers and internal teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a structured working style.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Strong communication skills — fluency in English is essential.
• Additional European language skills (e.g., Dutch, German, French, Italian) are a plus.
