Job summary

RECfinancial is recruiting on behalf of a large Leicester employer for a Credit Control & Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their busy finance team. This role focuses on credit control, accounts receivable and sales ledger, building relationships and resolving queries to ensure timely debt collection.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with finance systems, able to handle high volumes of transactions, and keen to develop their finance career within a supportive, stable organisation

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Sales Ledger.
• Confident communicator with strong customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Comfortable working with finance systems and high volumes of transactions.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial and customer debt ledgers.
• Raising invoices and setting up customer accounts.
• Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email.
• Resolving account and payment queries.
• Allocating daily receipts and reconciling accounts.
• Managing debt recovery processes and external collection agencies.
• Monitoring shared finance inboxes and responding to queries.
• Supporting wider finance operations when required.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in credit control, accounts receivable or sales ledger who enjoys building relationships, resolving queries and ensuring outstanding debt is collected efficiently.
