Job Description: Credit Controller

How does this role contribute to our collective success?

To assist in premium collection to enhance cash flow and minimize debt.

What will you do in this role?

  • Responsible for chasing brokers for the collection of outstanding inward Premiums.
  • Send out monthly statements to brokers and monitor responses for appropriate action.
  • Assist in preparing weekly reports using IRIS mainframe to highlight priorities by highest debt, and coordinate actions and follow-ups.
  • Liaise with Underwriters regarding the current premium situation and update the system accordingly after follow-up calls with brokers.
  • Undertake face-to-face meetings with brokers and underwriting teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Control Manager on best practices and strategies for collections.
  • Provide market intelligence, including insights on liquidations or brokers breaking payment promises.
  • Attend market meetings, updates, and training sessions to stay informed on market procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date commentary within IRIS on open market premium debt for reports.
  • Perform additional duties as appropriate to the role.

  • Experience with ISYS/IRIS
Role Factors:

In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 3 days per week.
