Job summary

Vertu BMW Sunderland Finance Hub is hiring a Credit Controller to support sales and purchase ledgers, invoicing, and cashflow management. The role emphasizes accuracy, prioritising tasks, and contributing to monthly management accounts.

The successful candidate will have a background in accounts preferred or be working towards relevant qualifications, with strong Excel skills and good organisational and customer-focused abilities. 37.5 hours per week, with a base salary of £24,784 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Experience in accounts preferred but not essential, motor industry knowledge advantageous.
• Experience using Excel and Microsoft Office packages.
• Good organisational and communication skills, with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties, including checking and filing invoices and statements.
• Support month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle daily banking, cashflow, and credit control tasks.

Job description

Due to continued business growth, we are looking for a Credit Controller to join our team here at Vertu BMW Sunderland Finance Hub. If you would like to become part of one of the largest Motor Retailers within the UK, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you. We are offering a basic salary of £24,784 based on 37.5 hours per week, plus an excellent range of company benefits! The main purpose of this role is to assist with the seamless operation of the credit control, accounting and financial procedures within the dealership. In particular assisting with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties such as checking invoices, filing invoices and statements as well as dealing with purchase enquiries. Other duties include assistance in production on monthly management accounts, balance street reconciliations, daily banking's and cashflow, credit control, as well as ad-hoc duties that come up within the accounting functions.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• A background in accounts is preferred but not essential (experience within the motor industry would be advantageous)
• If no experience, it would be ideal for the candidate to be working towards the required qualifications
