Job summary

Vertu BMW Sunderland Finance Hub is seeking a Credit Controller to support the dealership's credit control and accounting processes. The role covers sales and purchase ledgers, invoicing checks, and statements, with broader responsibilities across monthly management accounts, reconciliations, daily banking, and cashflow management.

We offer a basic salary of £24,784 for a 37.5-hour week plus a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• A background in accounts is preferred but not essential (experience within the motor industry would be advantageous).
• If no experience, ideal candidate will be working towards the required qualifications.
• Experience using Excel and other Microsoft Packages.
• Organisational Skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties: check invoices, file invoices and statements, and handle purchase enquiries.
• Assist in monthly management accounts production, balance sheet reconciliations, daily banking and cashflow, and general credit control.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties within accounting functions.

Due to continued business growth, we are looking for a Credit Controllerto join our team here at Vertu BMW Sunderland Finance Hub. If you would like to become part of one of the largest Motor Retailers within the UK, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

We are offering a basic salary of £24,784 based on 37.5 hours per week, plus an excellent range of company benefits!

The main purpose of this role is to assist with the seamless operation of the credit control, accounting and financial procedures within the dealership. In particular assisting with sales ledger and purchase ledger duties such as checking invoices, filing invoices and statements as well as dealing with purchase enquiries. Other duties include assistance in production on monthly management accounts, balance street reconciliations, daily banking’s and cashflow, credit control, as well as ad-hoc duties that come up within the accounting functions.
