Job summary

The Dash Group in Redruth is seeking a Credit Control & Sales Ledger Lead to manage day-to-day debt collection and invoicing. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will oversee customer accounts, cash allocation and ledger controls to support cash flow and timely financial reporting; you will lead weekly invoicing cycles, resolve invoicing issues and improve processes.

This is a new role in a growing business of over 200 colleagues with a £34m turnover, requiring proactive debt management,

Qualifications

• Strong experience in credit control, sales ledger and invoicing.
• Experience with customer payment processing, direct debit files and cash allocation.
• Good understanding of credit risk management and onboarding.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional, proactive approach to debt management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day credit control activities, ensuring overdue debt is actively monitored, collected and escalated where required.
• Maintain regular contact with customers to resolve outstanding balances and agree payment plans.
• Monitor aged debtors, disputed balances and collection risks, taking appropriate action to support cash collection and minimise exposure.
• Lead sales ledger processes, including invoicing, credit notes, receipts, cash allocation and customer account maintenance.
• Manage the weekly invoicing cycle, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and issued on time.
• Prepare customer account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies where required.
• Produce debtor and sales ledger reports to support weekly and period-end reporting requirements.
• Support improvements to credit control procedures, reporting processes and financial controls.
