Job summary

Confidential, based near Heathrow, is seeking an Accounts / Credit Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. You will manage customer accounts, chase payments, raise invoices and keep records up to date while supporting the finance function.

Experience in accounts/credit control is essential; Sage experience is preferred. The role offers a stable environment within the freight forwarding/logistics sector and opportunities to develop your accounts experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts, credit control or a similar finance role.
• Experience within freight forwarding, logistics or a related industry would be advantageous.
• Sage experience preferred.
• Confident communicating with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer accounts and chasing outstanding payments.
• Raising and processing invoices and credit notes.
• Allocating payments and keeping account records accurate.
• Handling customer queries relating to invoices and payments.
• Following up overdue accounts and maintaining aged debt reports.
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day accounts duties.
• Liaising with internal operations and customers to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensuring financial records are kept accurate and up to date.
