Nationwide is seeking a Credit Coach within our Planning & Delivery Team in Business Banking. You will deliver credit training and development activities to build colleague capability, support change and regulatory learning for Business Networks, and help colleagues contribute to team goals.
You will train Relationship Managers across Digital Business, collaborating with the Leadership Team to maintain a customer‑focused environment, and deliver group sessions and one‑to‑one coaching.

As a Credit Coach you will be responsible for delivering on a variety of credit training and development activities, with a focus on building colleague capability, supporting change, transformation and regulatory learning for Business Networks, ensuring individuals, teams and people leaders can contribute to team goals and undertake their roles competently.
Being a Credit Coach is key to the training and development of our Relationship Managers across Digital Business, and you will work closely with our Leadership Team on the delivery of Credit Specific training, enabling our teams to deliver a first-class customer experience.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Glasgow or Northampton office. If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. You will work closely with the Small Business Credit Team to deliver training on credit processes to Relationship Managers in Business Banking, allowing you to build strong relationships and provide guidance to a wide range of stakeholders.
As a Credit Coach you will use your passion to go above and beyond to successfully train and coach Relationship Managers, continually raising capability across the team. This will include identifying training needs, preparing tailored training materials, and delivering both group sessions and one‑to‑one coaching.
This role will require you to collaborate with the Leadership Team to maintain a safe, customer‑focused environment where colleagues feel valued and supported. You will also provide insight to the Leadership Team on colleague training and development requirements, offering sound and well‑considered recommendations. As a Credit Coach you will be responsible for managing and delivering training communications across Digital Business.
To do this role successfully, you will need:
Ability to assess, record and monitor ongoing training needs of a vast team of Relationship Managers
Experience in designing and delivering training solutions using a variety of methods
Robust knowledge of credit processes & procedures in Business Banking
A passion for digital technology and providing great customer experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to listen, understand and respond professionally
