What you'll do:

1. Comply with GLL Values to maintain standards as stipulated.
2. Ensure all compliance requirements are followed.
3. Follow legal requirements in line with Ofsted legislation.
4. Adhere to relevant administration procedures.
5. Provide equality of opportunity and support for all children.
6. Care for children over 8 years old without adversely affecting the care of children under 8.
7. Maintain cleanliness of all areas and equipment as per the cleaning matrix.
8. Log and report safeguarding issues to the Children Activity Supervisor and management.

What you need:

• Understanding of characteristics and qualities expected by guardians in childcare.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
• Knowledge of GLL Safeguarding Policies, Procedures, and Code of Conduct on Safer Working Practices.
• Experience working with children in a creche/nursery environment.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Children’s Childcare/Playwork.
• Ability to respond to children’s individual needs and create an enabling environment.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and teamwork abilities.
