Job summary

THE TEAM is looking for a talented lawyer to join our Creators division legal team. You’ll review, edit, and negotiate a high volume of creator contracts and advise THE TEAM agents and clients on transactional matters in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–3+ years of law firm or in-house experience, preferably in entertainment or creator deals, with strong collaboration and adaptability. Opportunity to support IP projects and risk management within a growing team.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of law firm or in-house experience, preferably in a transactional role with some degree of creator and/or entertainment experience.
• Ability to explain legal issues in laymen’s terms to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels, including junior team members and senior staff.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to build strong relationships.
• Self-starter who can work independently and take on feedback.
• Demonstrated passion for the creators industry.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of contracts for THE TEAM Creators clients, including sponsorship/endorsement, appearance, content, production, literary, and other deals.
• Conduct research and analysis of specific legal questions and prepare opinions with conclusions.
• Anticipate legal and contract/deal issues and design strategies to remediate risk to THE TEAM and its clients.
• Keep current on legislative issues, statutes, decisions, and other important legal developments that may affect THE TEAM and/or its clients’ interests.
• Support on a range of intellectual property projects, including THE TEAM-owned IP and IP controlled by THE TEAM clients.
• Assist with dispute resolution and litigation oversight.
• Ensure compliance with THE TEAM’s corporate policies and procedures (including anti-bribery, AML, data protection and sanctions).
• Other duties as assigned.
