Job summary

Kirklees Council's Creative Development & Events Team leads on a range of cultural, creative, tourism and place-making initiatives that contribute to the district's economic growth, visitor economy and quality of life.

The Creative Project Officer will assist in developing and delivering projects by coordinating activities, engaging partners and supporting funding bids, while working within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and delivering creative, cultural, tourism or community-based projects.
• Strong project management skills, including managing timelines, budgets and multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners, stakeholders and communities.
• Knowledge of the creative and cultural sectors and a passion for arts, culture and place-making.
• Experience of planning, promoting and delivering public-facing events, engagement activities or training programmes
• The ability to research, analyse and present information to support reports, business cases and funding bids.
• Confidence using digital platforms, websites and social media to promote projects and initiatives.
• A proactive, creative and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
