Job summary

Southco seeks a creative and driven individual to join the Advanced Industries Design Engineering team in the UK. You will own the technical aspects of projects, conceptualising, designing, and developing innovative new products that meet customer needs and align with Southco’s strategic goals.

You will collaborate with Sales and NPD to translate challenges into practical, cost-conscious solutions, and ensure successful launches that meet performance criteria.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HND with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Proven track record in designing intricate mechanisms.
• Proficient with 3D/2D CAD systems (NX preferred).
• Tenacious, creative problem-solver who thrives on challenges.
• Adheres to and inputs into product development specifications.
• Inspires and influences others to achieve outstanding results.
• Experience within these specific industries.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical aspects of assigned projects and collaborate with Sales to transform customer challenges into practical solutions.
• Work with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure products meet cost targets and launch successfully.
• Contribute to shaping the future of Southco product ranges by turning ideas into concrete products.
