Job summary

GSL Education in Doncaster is seeking a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will plan practical and theoretical activities that develop creativity, problem-solving and technical skills while maintaining high standards of classroom practice.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, strong subject knowledge, and an enhanced DBS with Update Service. We offer safeguarding-compliant recruitment and opportunities for CPD, with supportive colleagues

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and practical skills.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach practical and theoretical aspects of Design and Technology effectively.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress.
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Maintain a safe and well-organised practical learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and pupil progress.
