Job description

We’re looking for a Creative Developer/ Creative Technologist with around 3 years' experience in either design or front-end engineering, who sits at the intersection of design, technology and creative experimentation. You’re curious about where creativity and technology are heading, and excited by the chance to help shape what’s next. You’ll work closely with designers and creative teams to turn ambitious ideas into interactive experiences, prototypes and tools.

You’ll sit with designers and strategists, not across a wall from them. You’ll build for brands like TikTok, F1 and Netflix, at an independent studio without layers of agency bureaucracy. You’ll bring technical thinking into the creative process early - helping teams understand what’s possible, prototyping ideas quickly and finding unexpected ways technology can shape brand experiences. You won’t sit downstream of the work. You’ll help define what’s possible.

Who we are.

We are a group of people who make beautiful, original brands that change the world for the better. We’re fuelled by creativity and reject convention. We are trusted by some of the world’s most interesting companies, including Hulu, Audible, Roli, ITV X, British Land, Formula 1, ESPN, Channel 4, Eurosport, Netflix and AC Milan. Brands that seek to be brave and challenge convention.

Our studio home is based in London (N1), and we come together at least 3 days a week to enjoy the space, collaborate and time together. Studio time and our wonderful surroundings are very important for creativity to thrive. Working together enables us to approach new ideas and inventions creatively and to enjoy the journey.

We partner with brands and in-house creative teams across the world from our London studio. We seek revolution rather than evolution and embrace change to remain fiercely original.

Great design is born of difference; we constantly seek new perspectives and identities to build our team. We’re a vibrant, eclectic, open group of people from South Korea, Iran, Venezuela and everywhere in between, which makes for a rich environment full of ideas.

How we see technology.

We’re interested in what technology makes possible, not technology for its own sake. Emerging and intelligent tools are changing how brands and systems meet the world. We bring the same care, judgement and invention to that shift as we do to everything else.

Engineering here is craft, not plumbing. It isn’t an executional add-on. It’s a system-level way of building brands and design systems that work everywhere, for everyone. We’re not chasing novelty. We’re building better tools, more useful systems and more meaningful experiences.

We have a view on AI. We think it will become invisible infrastructure, and that systems will increasingly learn to prefer the average. Our bet is on conviction over efficiency. If you’re tired of the hype and want to build with people who have actually thought about it, you’ll feel at home.

Who you are.

You have a strong eye for design and understand that great digital experiences rely on both thoughtful interaction and well-crafted code. You notice when something doesn’t feel quite right and know how to improve it. You’ll prototype, test and iterate, working closely with designers, strategists and creative directors to bring early-stage ideas to life. You’re proactive, comfortable with uncertainty and motivated by curiosity. Rather than waiting for direction, you bring ideas, explore possibilities, learn through making and share what you discover along the way. You have a portfolio of relevant work and code demonstrating strong design sensibility, technical execution, and creative flair.

What you do.

These are just some of the things we’d expect. Brilliance comes in many forms though; our minds are always open.

You’ll prototype creative and interactive ideas, taking concepts from rough prototypes through to polished experiences.

You’ll collaborate closely with designers, strategists and creatives, bringing a technical perspective into projects from the beginning rather than simply being handed designs to build.

You’ll explore emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI, creative coding and new interfaces, and find meaningful ways to apply them to brand challenges.

You’ll build tools and experiments that help our teams work differently, whether that’s rapid prototypes, interactive brand behaviours, generative design systems or internal creative tools.

You’ll also help build DixonBaxi’s capability in this space: sharing discoveries, inspiring teams and making emerging technology accessible to the team.

You’re naturally curious and experimental. You follow what’s happening in technology but aren’t interested in technology for technology’s sake.

You communicate technical ideas simply and enjoy collaborating with people from different disciplines.

Someone who combines creative instinct with technical ability. You should be comfortable prototyping with code, but equally comfortable sitting with a designer and exploring an unfinished idea.
