This is not a standard Design & Creative Director role, and we are not your standard agency.

Creation Group is a full service Brand Experience group. We are looking for an exceptional Design & Creative Director to be the inspirational force behind our Creative Design Studio. We are seeking a positively disruptive personality to join our ever growing team and push boundaries both within the business and with our clients. The perfect candidate will be at the helm of building, leading and inspiring our creative team and hold authority over the creative process, guiding our teams to produce some of the most impactful and talked about brand experiences and events in the industry.

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer you will ultimately guide the Company and clients to creative success. You will be a compelling strategist, an inspirational partner for our clients, and a creative visionary who is passionate about the power of design in the experiential marketing industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for brand experience with a proven background in scaling and developing a creative team to produce industry leading, impactful work.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Design & Creative Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision, direction and expansion of our Creative department. This is a unique opportunity to lead with creative excellence while also contributing strategically to the company’s broader goals. The ideal candidate will not only develop our creative output and service offering but also be instrumental in driving innovation and guiding the business into its next phase of growth.

What you will be responsible for?

  • Provide creative direction, guidance and inspiration to our team to define and execute the creative vision of each client project.
  • Develop and elevate clients' experiential output across a range of touchpoints.
  • Oversee and ensure that our clients brand’s visual identity is consistent across all materials, whether digital, scenic or print setting the tone and aesthetic for all creative content.
  • Lead pitch work alongside Production and Client Services to ensure impactful storytelling, creative innovation and visuals.
  • Continue to build our Studio department by developing and growing our creative talent pool.
  • Facilitate and develop positive cross-functional collaboration with other internal departments (i.e. Sales & Production) to ensure the creative aligns with the clients objectives.
  • Improve and evolve creative quality within the team by overseeing final output, assessing creative success and improving future strategies and design processes.
  • Offer solid mentorship and development opportunities to our creative team and foster a positive working environment where individuals are given the space to thrive and produce outstanding work.
  • Oversee resource management, task allocation, and departmental workflow to ensure the creative team is fully supported and timelines are optimised for efficiency.
  • Manage the creative department budget, ensuring all design projects and concepts are delivered efficiently and within financial scope.
  • Lead the Studio department into its next phase of growth, driving talent, capacity, and financial strategy to achieve global impact.

What we are looking for?

  • At least 5+ years experience in the industry, both as a hands-on designer and as a creative leader.
  • Have a passion for brand experience, event design and crafting unforgettable moments with the ability to translate this into creative and innovative themes and concepts.
  • A curious thinker with the desire to challenge and push boundaries staying attuned to global trends and shifts.
  • Have a mature, positive and intuitive personality with the ability to navigate complex situations and understand others' motivations.
  • Be an influential and persuasive leader, both within the team and externally, with the natural ability to inspire action.
  • Demonstrate a generous and collaborative spirit, empowering others to grow
  • Lead by example, showing a willingness to dive into the creative process and contribute hands-on when needed.
  • Commercial acumen both at a project and departmental level.
  • Bring an unwavering sense of ambition, drive, energy, and optimism to every project and challenge.
