Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic Classroom Support Assistants to help pupils thrive academically and emotionally in BS15-area schools. The role involves supporting EYFS to KS2, helping children build confidence and positive learning habits, and collaborating with teachers on engaging activities.

Experience in education, childcare, or related settings is valuable, with extra language skills for EAL support welcomed but not essential.

We're working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across BS15 that are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Classroom Support Assistants to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

Many of the children attending these schools speak English as an Additional Language (EAL), so additional language skills are always valued. However, the most important qualities are patience, positivity, and the ability to build strong relationships with children from a range of backgrounds.

Whether you're already working in education or looking to transfer your skills from childcare, youth work, coaching, tutoring, or care settings, this could be the perfect next step.

Your Role

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 within the classroom
• Help children develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH needs, ADHD, and additional learning needs
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Adapt your approach to meet the needs of individual learners
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

What we need to clear you

• Valid passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of current address
• An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education, with any gaps explained
• Two years of references, including your most recent employer or school
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more during the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
