Job summary

Creative Classroom Assistant role in Middlesbrough with Teaching Personnel. The post supports pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs, helping them engage in lessons and build confidence.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, collaborate with teachers, apply positive behaviour strategies, and help create an inclusive learning environment. Teaching Personnel provides ongoing support and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable.
• Teaching Assistant qualifications are encouraged but not essential.
• Candidates with experience in schools, youth work, sports coaching, care or similar settings are encouraged to apply.
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Creative Classroom Assistant to work within a primary school in Middlesbrough, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and additional social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
