Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking an ambitious Chef to join Defence on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week. You’ll prepare and serve high-quality food, lead menu changes, and help shape innovative concepts while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

You’ll work 5 out of 7 days, with opportunities to progress within a company that values individuals and rewards initiative. Strong customer service and City & Guilds/NVQ equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen environment.
• Passion for high-quality food and customer service.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including 5 out of 7 days.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food for Defence clients.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening to customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Supporting with creation of new menus and concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene.
• Complying with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
