Job summary

Barchester care home is seeking an Activities Assistant to deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities that help residents enjoy an environment that is motivational and fulfilling. You will support residents to pursue interests and engage with family, friends and the local community.

No prior experience required; bring a sense of fun, creativity and a real interest in the people we support to develop your skills with a range of courses designed to build confidence in the role.

Qualifications

• No specific experience required.
• Sense of fun, creativity and the ability to encourage and motivate others.
• Genuine interest in the people supported.

Responsibilities

• Deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities.
• Help deliver an entertainment and activities programme with pastimes, social activities, outings and events.
• Support residents to live independently and engage with family, friends and the local community.
